Online Reprographics have invested in a comprehensive colour management and control system which ensures that we can calibrate and profile our complete print production.

Sounds impressive but what does this really mean for our customers?

Colour ManagementThrough our managed processes and powerful instruments we can deliver our customers accurate, predictable and consistent output every time. It means no more expensive and time consuming re-works - saving your energy for creating brilliant documents.

Making sure your documents are produced to the highest standards is at the heart of everything we do at Online Reprographics especially when it comes to colour. When you entrust your document production to us then you can be sure that we will be following and using very strict working practices to get you the right result.

The first stage in our process is to ensure that all our colour devices are calibrated. Unlike most companies we do not stop there. We then profile all of our mac and PC screens to ensure that when we view your documents we are viewing them at their very best. All of our printers are then custom profiled. This ensures that when we print to them they are producing the highest quality of print on any given paper stock that is possible. We appreciate that sometimes you are looking for a particular look and feel. That is why we not only profile our devices to match each other but we have a range of bespoke profiles which allow us to mimic other industry technologies such as offset press and proofing systems.

So should you need a proof to be printed then when we print it we will also print our digital control strip to make sure that when we come back to complete the production run then the proof actually matches the print and if at a later date we produce some more – that the print matches the print.

This all might seem like simple concepts but we don’t just expect it to happen– we inspect it to ensure it happens!

Colour Management Process
We calibrate the screens to ensure they display to correct standard.

Then the screens are all profiled to provide consistent viewing conditions.

The machines are then profiled in two ways.
We create output profiles or destination profiles which describe exactly how they are behaving at a certain time on a certain stock – meaning that we get better conversions of colour data and therefore better results.

We can also create simulation profiles which allow the digital devices to mimic other technology.

We can grab colours from existing documents – a bit like the dulux paint advert, show us the colour and we match it.
